The Football League Girls Community Cup 2007/08

On Tuesday 4^th December 2007 saw Football in the Community's annual 5-a-side ‘The Girls Community Cup 2007/2008. This year the event was sponsored by ‘The Football League' and held at Football in the Community's 3G facility ‘Carrow Park', in Norwich.

The Community Cup is aimed at year 7 & 8 players from Middle & High Schools across the county. This year 10 teams took part to see who would go on to represent Norwich in the Area Final, early next year.

The competition saw some excellent football being played from all teams. Both leagues were very close with most teams waiting for the final result to come in to decide league placings. The final of the Cup was King Edward VII High v Flegg High. In a tight close final Flegg were the eventual winners. Both teams should be congratulated for what was a very close and exciting final.
