Ability Counts Week Gets Off To Flying Start

Norwich City's Ability Counts Awareness Week got off to a great start at Heartsease High School on Saturday when 4 of their Disability Squads entertained Northampton Town.

The 4 games were played between two adult Pan Disability Squads, the U17 Centre of Excellence team and a deaf U14 team where many enjoyed representing Norwich City for the first time.

The standard of football from both clubs was impressive but more importantly the enthusiasm, team work and commitment on show from everybody ensured that these types of games will be repeated in the future.

Following the matches, the players, staff and supporters of Northampton Town attended the Norwich City v Barnsley fixture at Carrow Road and watched the canaries manage a 1-0 win.

The Awareness Week will conclude this Saturday prior to the Blackpool game where FITC will be delivering sessions to 25 deaf, blind and visually impaired players.'
