Streetlife Soccer & Ability Counts Yuletide Tournament

Street Life Soccer and Ability Counts teams

Despite appalling weather conditions representative teams from the Streetlife Soccer and Ability Counts programmes and Football in the Community (FITC) headed to Carrow Park on Wednesday, December 16th to compete in a special yuletide football tournament.

The tournament consisted of six seven-a-side 15minute matches, with all the teams playing each other twice.   The matches proved to be competitive, entertaining and high scoring with the back of the net being found on over 40 occasions.

Scores

Match 1: Ability Counts Vs Street Life Soccer: 2 - 3

All the players thoroughly enjoyed the tournament and the opportunity to meet players and staff from different FITC initiatives.  It is hoped the tournament will become a regular fixture in the FITC Calendar.

Gavin Coe, Partnership Development Manager for Football in the Community said: "I am delighted we were able to run this Chritsmas tournament for the Streetlife Soccer and the Ability Counts programmes.  It was our opportunity to thank the players for the dedication they have shown to the initiatives over the last year.  The commitment displayed by all those involved was first class".
