Parents Safety Information

Your child' safety is paramount on all FITC Courses therefore we are pleased to explain the great lengths that FITC goes to, to ensure the quality and safety of all our activities.

Our Registers

  • Detailed registers with all emergency telephone contact and those authorised to collect your child are provided to the Head Coach and your child’s coach
  • Register are taken at the start of every session
  • Parents are required to adhere to our signing out procedure at the end of every session
  • Parents are requested to update all contact information to ensure all information is correct for each course they attend.

Our Staff

  • Have undertaken an enhanced criminal record bureau check
  • Have an up to date 1st Aid qualification
  • Have attended the FA Child Protection Course
  • Possess the relevant sports qualifications for the required level of coaching
  • Are in possession of mobile phones at all times in case of an emergency.

Our Venues

  • Most venues are schools, local authority sports facilities or quality private sports grounds
  • All venues must pass rigorous checks on the quality of the pitches, sports halls and changing rooms
  • All venues must be sufficiently secure and well maintained
  • All areas are checked prior to the start of every session
  • Adequate car parking is available for parents
  • Adequate disabled facility are provided

Accident Procedures

  • All incidents however minor are reported immediately to the head coach
  • Parents are informed at the end of the day unless a severe accident occurs they will be contacted by telephone immediately.
  • If an ambulance is required parents are informed immediately and an FITC coach will travel to the hospital if a parent is not available.
  • The head coach is required to complete an accident report form, which must be signed by the parent on collection of their child.

Please note that FITC has extensive public liability, product liability and employers liability insurance to cover all activities run by the charity.
