Girls Player Development Centre Half Term action

On Friday 29th May FITC's facility carrow park hosted the Norwich City Girls Player Development Invitational tournament 2009.

The Player Development tournament is in its third year and teams from Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Lincoln, Ipswich, Lowestoft and Norwich competed for the U10 and U12 title.

The day itself is more then just a tournament it is an opportunity for girls aged 8 - 12 to come and play against other football league centres as part of the Girls Player Development programme.  These centres are set up to coach and develop girls who are selected through trials each year having shown the attitude and ability.

The U10 final was contested between Lincoln and Peterborough with the overall winners being Lincoln.

In the U12 final Lincoln were once again represented and faced Kings Lynn in a nail biting final Kings Lynn were crowned winners.
