Boys Player Development Centre entertain Colchester over Half Term Holidays
During the recent Half-term break, players of all ages from our Boys Player Development Centres (PDC) throughout Norfolk represented Norwich City in a fixture against Colchester.
Those boys that were selected for the fixture were recommended by their coach after impressing at their local PDC venue. From these recommendations the Advanced Squads were put together and contained players from all of our Centres - Norwich, Kings Lynn, Wymondham, Cromer, Lowestoft, Watton, and Gorleston.
Matches took place over two days at Heartsease High School, with the U8, U9, U10, U11 squads playing on the Tuesday, followed by the U12, U13, U14 squads on the Wednesday.
All of the matches were keenly contested, whilst the standard of football played was of a high standard.
FITC Development Manager Steve Eastaugh commented: 'The fixture against Colchester can be regarded as a great success. These sort of matches contribute greatly to the development of players within the PDC and provide an opportunity for the players to impress and move onto the next level'. For many of the children it's their first time representing Norwich City Football Club and being able to do this provides a unique experience for them'.
Extended thanks go to Dmitri Halajko Development Manager at Colchester United and his team of coaches and players
