Are you mad about football? Always wanted to play but thought you couldn't because you use a powered wheelchair? Well now there's no need to be just a spectator anymore!

Norwich City Powerchair Football Club (NCPFC) is a football team especially for powered wheelchair users!  We meet fortnightly for training sessions at the Recreation Road Sports Centre, Norwich and we are hoping to soon participate in both National & Regional Leagues.

Powerchair football is played upon an indoor basketball sized arena using a large (33cm) football and specialist safety equipment which, being attached to the players' wheelchair, enables him/her both greater ball control and protection. Teams are made up of four players, one goalkeeper and three outfield players, with the objective being that of any other football match: to score more goals than the opposition!

We are currently looking to attract more players, both male and female, of any age but would particularly welcome interest from younger members (we have a Child Protection Policy and a qualified Welfare Officer).  We can offer our players: the opportunity to train & acquire new skills in powerchair football; the chance to play for a team; and lots of good fun!

We are also keen to attract support in any capacity, but particularly in terms of sponsorship and/or volunteering.

If you would like any more information about Norwich City Powerchair Football Club, or would like to get involved in any capacity, then please contact their Secretary, Mark Womersley on tel: 01603 507509, email: [email protected] or website: www.clubwebsite.co.uk/ncpfc/.
