The Football In The Community mission statement is:
To enhance existing opportunities and provide new provisions in which boys and girls of all ages can participate, regardless of their ability, social status or location
The key aims of the scheme are:
- To channel the energies of all our youngsters into the discovery of their footballing skills.
- To create the awareness of the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle and keeping fit in mind and body through playing football.
- To link the opportunity to develop footballing skills with opportunities to improve literacy and numeracy skills.
- To help our community to become a safer place in which to live and work, by encouraging the youngsters to stay off the street and take part in constructive, enjoyable and educational activities.
